THE APPLICATION OF EPS PRODUCTS

1. Performance Description 

EPS packaging which made of EPS foam, which mainly refers to the thermal processing of expandable polystyrene (EPS) raw materials through molds, and the produced packaging products are commonly known as "foam". Expandable polystyrene is an ideal packaging material through the molding process. It can be processed into packaging products of various shapes and thicknesses as required. In the case of high load, the material achieves the functions of buffering and shock absorption through deformation, energy absorption, decomposition of energy, etc., and has the functions of heat preservation and heat insulation at the same time.

Features: light weight, good thermal insulation performance, anti-vibration effect, anti-aging, anti-corrosion, anti-static;

Ways of use: a series of packaging products such as vegetable preservation, snacks, fruit storage, fresh transportation, poultry storage, pharmaceuticals, bio-pharmaceuticals, and electronic products.

2. Performance Characteristics

2.1  Lightweight: Part of the space of EPS packaging products is replaced by gas, and each cubic decimeter volume contains 3-6 million independent airtight bubbles. Therefore, it is several times to dozens of times larger than plastic.

2.2  Anti-vibration effect: When EPS packaging products are subjected to impact load, the gas in the bubble will consume and dissipate the external energy through stagnation and compression, and the bubble body will gradually terminate the impact load with a small negative acceleration, so it has a better anti-vibration effect.

2.3 Anti-static performance: Ordinary packaging is prone to self-charging phenomenon during friction, which will not affect general products. For high-precision electronic products, especially large-scale integrated block structural components of modern electrical appliances, and EPS products with low electrical conductivity should use anti-static, so they are widely used in the packaging of high-precision electronic products.

2.4 Good sound insulation performance: The sound insulation of EPS products is mainly through two ways, one is to absorb sound wave energy to reduce reflection and transmission; the other is to eliminate resonance and reduce noise.

2.5 Anti-aging and corrosion resistance: Except for prolonged exposure to high-energy radiation, the product has no obvious aging phenomenon. Resistant to many chemicals, such as dilute acid, dilute alkali, methanol, lime, asphalt, etc.

2.6 Good thermal insulation performance: Thermal conductivity is the weighted average of pure EPS thermal conductivity (108cal/m.h.℃) and air thermal conductivity (90cal/m.h.℃)

3. Practical Application

3.1 EPS electronic packaging products: EPS foam packaging products are the lightest packaging materials at present. They have the characteristics of light weight, shock absorption, anti-skid, low cost, and easy packaging. Widely used in product packaging in household appliances, electronics, machinery, handicrafts, pharmaceuticals and other industries.

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

3.2 EPS foam box products: EPS foam insulation box products have the characteristics of preservation, heat preservation, storage and transportation resistance and so on. It is widely used in the packaging, storage and transportation of aquatic products, fruits, vegetables and instrument industries.

 

3.3 EPS foam insulation board products: EPS foam insulation board is a new low thermal conductivity insulation material, which has the characteristics of low cost, heat preservation, sound insulation, moisture resistance, light weight, energy saving, convenient construction, etc., and is widely used in construction, decoration, etc., floor heating, greenhouses, cold storage, stage sets and other projects.
